Kali ‘da Big Kahuna’

Just returned from a private showing of now 10X World Surfing Champion Kelly Slater’s new movie.  This is not just another surf movie.  It is awesome in its spectacle, magnatude and scope.  IMAX 3D is the only way to go.  The richness of Tahiti, its Polynesian people, culture and heritage all woven together using the best surfer in the world riding ‘The Ulimate Wave’.
An added benefit to this event is the Polynesian Surf Expo which will be featuring my Polynesian culture and heritage as told through song, dance and surfing. 
My contribution as speaker and to introduce the movie is a link between the old and new is told through the history of surfing and my relationship with my mentor Duke Paoa Kahanamoku “Father of Modern Day Surfing”.  His commission to me was to “Go and teach surfing to the haoles (all nations)” to Perpetuate the Hawaiian Heritage through my various surfing venues.
